The PayPal network currently has over 96 million members worldwide (Apr. 2006) and can be used in 45
countries. Users in the US can conveniently use their local bank checking account to make and
receive payments. Users in several other countries, including Japan, Canada, the UK, Australia, New
Zealand, France and Germany can withdraw funds to their local bank.
Signing up for PayPal is a free, simple, one-page registration process. Making a payment is
even simpler: just enter the recipient's email address and the amount you wish to send.
You can pay with a credit card or checking account. The recipient gets an email that says "You've Got Cash!"
Recipients can then collect their money by clicking a link in the email that takes them to www.paypal.com.
