Well, the fact is that Japanese guys like foreign women. Long legs, blue eyes, blond hair. For them it's an exotic thing. But we also know that most of non-Japanese men, Europeans, like Japanese women too. That's for sure. I'am not the best person to say it but there are many differences in Japan when you are talking about, let's say, people's society status. Well trained, skilled foreigner can live in Japan, can find work there and live his life with others. He can marry Japanese woman too and his society status (I mean the way he is portraited and understood in the eyes of natives) remain clear and unchanged. But when you have a European woman <---> Japanese guy situation it is a bit more complicated. That woman will never have a chance to improve her working skills and abilities within her living space in Japan. She just won't be able to change her status in Japanese society as a foreign wife of an native, you know what I mean. Unfortunatelly she is in a very unconfortable position. She will do her best, she will be liked but some things will remain unchanged.

So, yea, It is unfair, strange but normal. As I said, It's not an opinion of an expert. But i have heard of the problem from some of my nihongakka no sensei. Cheers.

btw. Sry for my english. I'am getting used to it.

Some japanese men like foreign women some don't.
It's their own choice.
Everybody has another view of life and of their lovelife.

I can tell you a different story.
I'm Japanese but I'm not born in Japan but here in Belgium.
I had always a japanese girlfriend even it's hard to find one here but I managed to had always one.
Then some weeks ago I changed my mind because I was always sad and I didn't feel well in my relationships with japanese girls. The complain every time and they are greedy.
Now I have a very good Belgian/French Girlfriend. I love her so much.
She isn't blonde. She doesn't got blue eyes. She is a brunette and has darkbrown eyes. And I must say I really like her then I ever thought I could be with a non-japanese girl.
And she isn't foreign because she is grown up in the same country as me.
So my opinion is simple and realistic: Everyone has a own path in his/her life.
And everyone in Japan is being accept foreign women/men.
They are always being accepted if they take the japanese nationality on them and if they take the JLPT.

Well, yea, I agree with ya. It is a matter of choice, everybody has diffrent view. I was just speaking about some strange situations from people who exactly know the problem. Otherwise I wouldn't do that.

I got something on my mind now...
Once I've seen funny article about Chinese men and Russian women getting involved into serious relationships. The main question was: why are they doing this more and more often nowadays? The answer was - he gets nice blondie and can fulfil his depest desires which previously he couldn't have with his native woman and she (Russian girl) in return gets a calm and relayable man who is working hard, who will stand by her side and will never use force on her... I'am Polish so I've got better image of Russian girls, I think Wink

That's why I understand it. It was so funny

Anyhow, I was typing about how some things seems to be normal but if you try to look at them a bit closer, suddenly you understand that they aren't.

I allready thought you weren't japanese because a japanese person will never say something like that. But what's always with the sexual interests? I think some people are tired of their own culture and that wanna explore an other culture? For example there are lot's of asian women who likes african men?

It was just a funny article, nothing more. And yes, partly it was about sexual interest - kind of intercultural joke. Nevermind. But in the first post I was talking about people's realtions only. People explore cultures, it is normal for someone who is self-developing. It doesn't mean someone is tired of his own culture, that's not the best word. I prefer to say it's a matter of curiousity and seeking knowlege. Hmm, asians who like african men? Dunno 'bout that.

It depends. As usual it's a matter of a personal view. Mostly, women I know don't like Japanese men - they are simply not attractive to them. If a girl likes an asian he must be really handsome. I mean, polish women demands much more from an asian than from any other european guy. Exact thing is with africans. Personally for me "japanese girls attraction to polish men" is a kind of strange mystery. Some love'em because they love 'n' adore anything with those inclined eyes (is this a proper word?), you know the thing. Then again a lot of'em think japanese girls are simply less attractive and have got a great deal of - let's say - malfunctions. So... I'am confused about that and can't say the truth exactly. Of course polish people likes or dislikes only what they see because who has got an oportunity to meet some japanise in the flesh? In Poland? Not many, trust me.

Anyways you've learned me something I didn't know so thank you for that.
Most Japanese in Europe are spread out into; England,Germany,France,Belgium... if you believe what's on the internet that is.
For me it's hard to find these days a japanese girlfriend around my age here in Belgium Shocked

So i've stopped searching and gave my heart to a girl who really fits me. Although I personally never thought that I would be together with a white girl but we match so good that I wanna say that we are a perfect and happy couple

I wonder what kind of feeling it is when you are with someone "different". Wonder if it doesn't matter and you don't care about it or maybe not quite and you are aware of this gentle differance in your daily life? Personally I don't think so. Heh, if there is love - who cares.

Two of my girl-friends (mates I mean) where seriously jelous of japanese girls. They constantly hated me if I ever noticed something about'em. They couldn't stand man's interest on asians but also wanted to have "those" EYES.... Yes, eyes... So it was like: "Oh, shut up. I don't want to hear anything about asians". Really Wink

.

Anyway, got to go for classes now. Cya.

A lot of Asian girls would probably be feeling the same way about your friends, envious of their blonde hair, big eyes, boobs, hips, etc. Your best bet is to go out with someone who's happy with who and what she is, whatever that may be.

Well despite what some may think, international marriage numbers in Japan are higher among men than they are among women, ie... J-men marry non-Japanese women more than J-women marry non-Japanese men. Of course, demographics on this show that the women J-men marry tend to be predominately other Asian women from countries like China and the Philippines. Not sure if that directly relates to the question, but my two schillings.
