I think that Angelina Jolie is looks fine especially for how old she is. She has a desirable figure (many people seem to think so), a pretty face, and generally looks healthy and well groomed even when she's not dressed up. I don't like how here lips look and think that she looks better with brown hair. She did a good job in the movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

I hate free willy too, reminds me of the simpson episode with free willy where free willy tries to jump over the wall but lands on the kid instead and the guy goes.."I'm not cleaning that up."

I voted for crow though, didn't care much for it, seen 1 or 2 of them...Harry potter is also just as bad, oh look at mr.pheonix revives harry when he was about to die in #2...But supposingly in the last novel the author wrote harry potter might actually die..If he does I want to see it just to see his demise.

Lord of the Rings was a good movie except #3 for the ending..The ending was 30 minutes of boringness when it should've ended alot sooner.

Best series though for me would have to be scary movie series...Just too funny, michael jackson posing as daughter under the covers?lol

Okay dear friends, I shall come clean. When Harry Potter first came out (book series), I swore up and down that it was commercialized satanic trash, corrupting the minds of young children. Now, allow me to explain that I live in the heart of the Bible Belt and have very religiously conservative parents, and at the young age of 12ish, I acquired the majority of my opinions from my parents' own. I held firm to this uninformed belief until just this past fall - nearly 5 years.

This fall, however, I suppose I started to really get into the whole "independence and rebellious" mindset. Being an avid reader, I checked out Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone from my school's library. I finished it at about 2 AM that same day. I checked out every book and finished the series in just two weeks. I am actually going to re-read the series this summer. It is one of the most captivating series I've ever read.

Oh, and I had to sneak the books home and hide them in my room.

I've only seen the HP movies on TV. The acting has come a long way it seems. I've only seen the first two films, and my friend is going to have a HP marathon day so I can see the other two.

A year ago I wouldn't have been caught DEAD reading a HP book or seeing a film. Too dorky, too controversial, whatever. But you know what? Im counting down the days till the final book's release date and the 5th installment in the movie series. I'll be out at the local Barnes and Noble, with all the other HP wannabe wizards.

Guess this nerd is out of the closet.

I don't think you're a nerd. It's nice to hear from you.

I still live in the Bible belt, but the people that I lived around practiced all sorts of religions. I was even baptized in 3 different churches. I had a tough time with religion while growing up because I went to a both a Catholic school for part of my life and a Methodist Sunday school and youth groups along with attending other religious groups meetings. I always thought that church and these meetings were interesting, but I eventually decided to not join any one of them and developed my own set of beliefs. I never believed in everything that they preached and didn't like a lot of aspects of these organizations. I don't consider myself to be atheist or even agnostic. I guess I should just say that I'm spiritual. For me, none of these things have any bearing on whether or not I like HP, like it may for a lot of people. I'm not into HP even though I do like fantasy movies and books. The story line just isn't all that interesting to me and I find children's stories to be somewhat amusing. I used to read a lot of books to kids while babysitting them when I was younger.

We're getting somewhat off topic here, but it's interesting to read what both of you wrote (pandabearkrys & Amethyst). I'm also of the view that religion should not be imposed on anyone and that people should - must - choose their own path, even blazing a trail of their own if necessary. I think that in our increasingly globalized society it's actually dangerous to only know anything about one religion and to blindly assume that it's the one and only true path.

Did anyone see the Alien series? With Sigourney Weaver (who clearly is from Mars herself, or some other sick place in the Universe). I love Alien... Nothing like those teen hack n slash festivals these days. Xenomorphs rule, like old school choppers and Dodge Charchers.

I'm a big fan of the original Alien, less so of the rest of the series. The first was directed by Ridley Scott, who also brought us my all-time personal favorite, Blade Runner, as well as other gems like Gladiator, 1492: Conquest of Paradise, Thelma & Louise, Black Rain and Someone to Watch Over Me. And there's a few other decent movies in his resume too, like Black Hawk Down, White Squall and Kingdom of Heaven. Anyone remember a very young Tom Cruise in Legend? GI Jane is best forgotten, I think.

But back to the OP, Scott's Hannibal was a poor follow up to Silence of the Lambs, IMO.

I haven't watched the majority of these movies and have only seen parts of the others, but I have seen Legend and Silence of the Lambs. Legend was very poetic and pretty. Silence of the Lambs made me wonder how Hannibal smelled. Did you know that cannibals have a naturally acrid smell to them when they sweat?
